Nevertheless She Persisted: Special Film Screening of “Suffragette” and Discussion

Dr. Johanna Neuman, historian, journalist and author of Gilded Suffragists: The New York Socialites who Fought for Women’s Right to Vote presented a terrific program at our 2017 Women’s Equality Day celebration last August.  She will be hosting a discussion following the showing of “Suffragette”, which is a stirring historical drama, based on true events, that inspires all who struggle for equality in our own day and age.  It stars Helena Bonham Carter and Meryl Streep.
