You are invited to an inclusive, nonpartisan and significant experience to honor our Black communities in PBC. We will celebrate the monumental benchmark in our American history that was a giant step towards reaching the unity promised in our democratic values. Needless to say, we have a very long way to reach racial equity, and recognizing Juneteenth annually is one way to embrace our neighbors, who are the descendants of our country’s biggest sin. Your presence provides the opportunity for everyone to come together, reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and support our rich diversity. We will observe Covid-19 precautions.
Open to the Public, Family Friendly, and Admission is Free: Visitors will be entertained by stories, music, art, food and camaraderie; they will learn about the history of Juneteenth, gather information from community services, find items for purchase, visit the Covid-19 vaccination station if necessary, and more!
The organizers are: United Plus, PBC Environmental Alliance, PBC Democratic Progressive Caucus, in partnership with the Martin Luther King, Jr., Coordinating Committee, NOWPBC, Division 20-Florida District of Kiwan International, and others.
