Erasing Women: What the Trump Administration Means for Women

April 5 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Under the Trump administration, federal agencies are now limiting or avoiding the use of hundreds of words, including females, feminism, gender, gender-based violence, LGBTQ, stereotypes, victim, and women. We will ponder the meanings of these and other banned words, consider their role in women’s liberation, and discuss what we must do to fight this erasure of women’s presence, being and significance.

Presentation & discussion by Jane Caputi, PhD, a radical feminist who has long taught women, gender, and sexuality studies, as well as making films and writing books.
