National Organization for Women
The Center for Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Dr. Stacey Balkan are pleased to present a series of events on LGBTQ archival research for LGBTQ History Month (October). Co-sponsors include the Department of English, the Comparative Studies Program, the Department of History, the America’s Initiative, and the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies. In these times, LGBTQ history is more important than ever, and this series brings together scholars from across the country to discuss their work in LGBTQ archives.
October 12 at 3 PM, join us on zoom for a panel discussion featuring E.G. Crichton, and Lauren Herold, and Margaret Galvan as they discuss LGBTQ archival research, including Crichton’s recent book Matchmaking in the Archives, Herold’s work on queer public access television, and Galvan’s recent book In Visible Archives.
