SUMMARY:Red Wine & Blue: LESSONS FROM WOMEN WHO CHANGED AMERICA
DESCRIPTION:Women didn’t just witness history — they made it. From abolition to voting rights\, from labor organizing to the fight for civil rights\, women have been organizing\, resisting\, and reshaping this country from the very beginning.  This Women’s History Month\, we’re honoring these stories and exploring the lessons they hold for us today. Join RWB fan favorite Jillian Gaeta of Roots to Revolution as she spotlights women changemakers throughout American history and shares what their strategies can teach us about driving change. Women have always led the way and that energy is still needed today. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSIGN UP NOW

SUMMARY:Red Wine & Blue: NO KINGS Rally - find one near you!
DESCRIPTION:In October\, I attended the No Kings event in a town that Donald Trump won. Seeing my neighbors and friends gather together for our values reminded me that we are in the majority. \nFive months later\, our challenges are greater than ever. There’s a new war and continued attacks on voting rights\, education\, and immigrants. Extremists backing Trump’s agenda are hoping they will wear us out and we’ll be too tired to fight back. \nThat’s why it is so important that we come together again to raise our voices.  \nIt was estimated that more than 7 million people turned out at thousands of No Kings events on October 18 – 2 million MORE people than came out for the first No Kings in June 2025. \nNow\, for the third No Kings Day on March 28\, we have a chance to increase those numbers and hit a very important milestone. But we need your help to ensure turnout is even bigger than it was in October. There are more than 3\,000 No Kings events around the country\, including one near you. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLast year\, political scientist and historian Dr. Erica Chenoweth joined us to share their finding that no nonviolent movement has failed when at least 3.5% of a population resists authoritarianism. \nThat’s roughly 12 million Americans. Every major day of protests since the start of Donald Trump’s second term has gotten larger. October No Kings was bigger than the one in June\, which was significantly larger than the 500\,000 people who showed up for the Hands Off protests in April 2025. \nWe could really do it – we could really hit that 3.5% number. 3.5% of the American people standing up to say they’ve had enough of chaos and extremism and to take back power. \nTo help ensure a huge turnout at the No Kings Day rallies on March 28\, find an event near you and encourage others to come as well.  \nI hope you can join an event near you. I’ll be out there again! \nWith love and hope\, \nKatie \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFIND AN EVENT

SUMMARY:Moms of Transgender Kids Speak Out
DESCRIPTION:25 people – many of them moms – were arrested last month outside of the Department of Health and Human Services headquarters in Washington\, D.C.1 \nThese parents\, grandparents\, and healthcare providers were standing up for the rights of their transgender kids\, grandkids\, and patients whose safety and well-being is on the line. Getting arrested seemed a small price to pay for the kids they love – but it shouldn’t be necessary to protect them. \nWant to better understand what it’s like to be a parent of a transgender child right now\, as they face misguided and hateful political attacks? Come hear for yourself! \nJoin Red Wine & Blue and Minnesota Representative Leigh Finke on Tuesday\, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET for our next Ask Me Anything virtual event\, “Moms of Transgender Kids Speak Out.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor years\, extremists have been spreading hateful disinformation about transgender people for political gain. They want to keep trans kids from playing youth sports\, ban trans people from military service\, tell them what bathrooms to use\, and really just deny their very existence. \nThe government is currently trying to stop hospitals from providing life-saving healthcare for transgender kids\, and they’re threatening to take away their much-needed federal funding to get them to comply. They’re also threatening to investigate and punish hospitals and healthcare providers who offer these services. \nParents\, grandparents\, doctors\, and therapists are fed up. They’re also nervous\, afraid\, and figuring out what to do\, one day at a time\, all while trying to navigate and mitigate the harm that’s being done to their families. \nJoin us to hear from moms of transgender children as they share their families’ experiences\, the challenges they’ve faced\, how these current trends are impacting their kids\, and what it means to fiercely advocate for those they love. \nThe event will also feature Representative Leigh Finke\, the first openly transgender person elected to the Minnesota state legislature. She’ll share her journey\, her work in public service\, and the policies state government can advance to better protect the transgender community. \nWe can all relate to the selfless love a parent has for their child and how they’d do anything – including getting arrested – in order to protect them. Come on Tuesday to hear more from moms of transgender kids so that you can help advocate for them in your community\, too.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn more: \n\nThese moms are risking arrest to protect gender-affirming care for trans youth\, Advocate\, March 9\, 2026.
