Policies first tested there are increasingly exported nationwide\, especially when it comes to public education\, religious freedom\, and the separation of church and state. What we are seeing around sex education in Florida is not an isolated debate about curriculum.  It is part of a broader effort by Christian nationalist movements to impose one set of religious beliefs through public schools\, at the expense of pluralism\, public health\, and constitutional protections. \nThis webinar will examine how sex education in Florida has been reshaped over the past decade\, how religious ideology is driving these changes\, and why this represents a clear First Amendment concern. We fight book bans\, support DEI and curricula that teaches our true history\, defend the rights of LGBTQ+ youth\, and support commonsense school board members. When we organize against extremists\, from Moms for Liberty to anti-public schools Secretary of Education Linda McMahon\, we win! \nWe have to keep outperforming radical school board candidates\, flipping boards\, and successfully pushing back on book bans. In 2025 Red Wine & Blue blocked extremists running for school board\, while the vast majority of candidates we supported won. But the attacks are ongoing – and are now backed by the President of the United States.
