SUMMARY:Women's Equality Day Program: We Can Be the Change We Need - The Fight Continues
DESCRIPTION:View our two-part\, 90-minute\, pre-recorded program; comment on it here or via our FaceBook page if you wish.  \nPart I and Part 2:  Lifting as We Climb: Black Suffragists and Our Continuing Fight for Equality in Attitude and Law (39:13) \nWe are focusing on women of color and white women\, to render Women’s Equality Day authentically inclusive. Attention energizes – when we listen to each other we become aware. Intention transforms – choosing to act on what we learn can bring about the change we want. When working together we can be a force for fixing our society. Parts 1 and 2 are introductory and informative videos\, including “Untold Stories of Black Women in the Suffrage Movement” and a Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith recorded in November 2018 with her mother\, daughter\, co-worker and Jane Elliott\, an activist for racism awareness. \nPart 3: The Panel and Conversation (1:08:54) \nWe asked a panel of awesome and mindful women to tell us their inspirational stories and lessons learned. The panel will advise us on how we can become the change we want and need. Our moderator Reverend Renai Collins will introduce our five panelists. After viewing\, please contribute to the continuing conversation! \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \nI hope you\, your family and friends are well and being safe during these challenging times.\nPlease join us virtually on Saturday\, February 20 from 1:00-3:00PM.\nThe event is free and open to the public\, but limited to the first 150 persons to register. Register here:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/racial-wealth-gap-learning-simulation-tickets-136461663509 \nPartnering with APD (All People’s Day) and the Palm Beach Section of the NCJW (National Council of Jewish Women)\, NOWPBC (National Organization for Women) is so pleased to host the not-to-miss event\, ‘The Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation.’ \nIn recognition of Black History Month and our unified commitment to racial justice\, Florence French Fagan will moderate an interactive workshop for attendees that brilliantly makes it possible for participants to learn how the Wealth Gap in the U.S. has intentionally\, structurally and institutionally created the racial inequity our present social\, economic\, and political arena struggles with daily. Florence is the Florida Director for Bread for the World. I participated twice and can say this focused and factual presentation on root causes in a simulation format provided participants with a poignant and clear understanding\, an emotional and intellectual experience\, and an invitation to take action that promotes racial equity in an inclusive and substantive way. \nFor any questions or concerns\, please contact me. \nWarmly\,\n\, \nArlene\nArlene R Ustin\n(561) 504-9780: cell/texts\naustin@prescott.edu
